Our purpose is to bring together emerging and established scholars and professionals in an online open-access forum to freely engage in constructive debate examining the various ways sport can be a vessel for personal/community empowerment while simultaneously reinforcing societal structures of power.
Abstract submissions of approximately 300 words should be submitted to conference organizers, Andrew Pettit and Taylor McKee, at EmergingSportStudies@gmail.com by June 30, 2020.
Video abstracts are also acceptable through twitter,
either through DM or mentions, @EmergingSport

We invite abstracts for papers from the following disciplines: history, sociology, philosophy, psychology, law, marketing/economics, management, policy, literature, analytics, and others.
Cost: In keeping with our stated mission of reducing barriers to open-access education, we are only requesting presenters to make a small donation to help cover the costs of the website.
